The Inn sits in the heart of “Big Tree Country”, so those wanting to explore the forests, are in the right place.
Allean Forest, a few minutes drive away has some beautifully marked routes. This is certainly a firm favourite for us and our 3 dogs Maggie, Mabel and Maude. The paths lead up and away from the Loch giving stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. Aside from spotting the wood peckers and looking out for the elusive Osprey, there are ancient settlements to be explored, from the 18th Century homestead of generations of farming families to the 1000 year old Pictish fort.
If you are after something more challenging then our local munro ‘Schiehallion’ looms to the west of the Inn which can make for a very good days walking.
There are a vast array of walks to be had, which should keep you coming back time and time again.
